Very good news from Tiruvannamalai October 2021

We are very happy to announce that our Om Shanthi Old Age Home was awarded as best Old Age Home in the district of Tamil Nadu. Rhada, Mary and Dyothi, residents of our home, had the honour to receive the award from the district officials. The event shows the excellent work done by Manoharan and his staff. Since 2012 he and Kodimalli, Saratha, Malathi, Santa Kumari and Rani took care of our Om Shanthi widows with love and commitment whole-heartedly and they still do.

The district of Tiruvannamalai has over 3 million people. Within the radius of 100 km it covers 10 small towns and around 1000 villages. The other existing Old Age Homes are financed by the churches or privately by wealthy Indians abroad, to take care of their elderly parents. Our Home for homeless elderly women where they can stay until the end of their lives is unique.

We are grateful to all our supporters for both financial and volunteer support everywhere! We could do nothing without your help, because we are financed only by your dear donations. Also a tip of  the hat to Aruna Partnership and Journeys of Solutions for their behind the scenes support.

Latest news inform us that Indian borders will be opened for tourists the 15th of November 2021. We would be very happy to enjoy your visit in our Old Age Om Shanthi Home in Tiruvannamalai. ! Maybe see you!

Heartfelt greetings from

Paulette and Anna
